Worries

We worry. We worry about money. We worry we make mistakes at work. We worry about getting fired. We worry we will be lonely. Etc. Etc. Stop now. Stop!

When you worry, this is when you are pausing in your life. Think about this. Worrying is not helping anyone.

Think about what you can do positively. Think about going UP! Keep learning. Keep doing good. This is when you reduce a lot of error. Whether it is losing money, work errors, and just about everything in your life. Keep living and all these things will be reduced. Learn from all your errors.

I hope this helps. It's helping me for sure.

Create a Mission Statement

Like a business, we must create a mission statement.
Focus on what you want to be (character) and to do (contributions and achievements) and on the values or principles upon on which being and doing are based.

30-day Proactive test

-Be a light, not a judge.
-Be a model, not a critic.
-Be a part of a solution, not part of a problem.

When you make a mistake, correct it and learn from it.

-7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

To Be

Focus on being instead of having.
-The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

Solutions to common everyday problems

Think of all the time losing change or trying to get the exact change when buying something. Taxi wallet or Chums Surfshort Wallet is the perfect solution. Still deciding.

I have problems with storing passwords, so a waterproof notepad would solve it.

Any more common day to day problems will be listed here!

Adding value

Value. What does it mean to you? The things you buy, the people you hang out with, the experiences you gain. Question about it. Do they make you happy or is it just something to fill up a void?

If they are just things/people to fill your time with, please make sure to get rid of them. Add more value and happiness to your life. Whether it's cooking, learning new things, gardening, painting, etc. :)

Learning and growing

First step in learning and growing:

Admit that you don't know a lot. Because nobody knows everything. That's when you are open to learning and opening to new knowledge.

Life Game

I think of life as a bit of an adventure.

Like being lost and needing directions. What do you do? Are you going to ask right at the second? No. You should look for yourself when time allows. If you can't find, then ask.

Help yourself first and try as hard as possible not to get anyone's help. If you are unable to, then ask. This goes for everything.

Think of yourself as Mario getting to the castle. You have 3 lives, those lives represent resources. Whenever you ask, you lose one life.

But don't be scared to lose a life if you really need it.

Point is, you go to wherever you want to go using less resources/people as possible. But, if you want to reserve your time and energy for something else though -- then by all means ask. It really depends on where you want to spend your time on. I struggle with that. But I do enjoy finding the location by myself. It feels like my brain stretched and I feel smarter! Sometimes life can be a routine, and one way to spice things up is getting lost and finding your way.. :)

Intro

Hi!!

My name is Casey and I am on a journey of personal growth. I will be sharing activities and what I learn from them to help with my personal growth. It could also help with my job. Hopefully it helps anyone reading as well.

I will focus on:
1. Interpersonal skills
2. How to be a more effective person
3. How to be a better listener
4. How to be more disciplined/motivated
5. How to be an effective speaker
6. How to be an effective writer.
7. How to read effectively
8. How to be more patient
9. How to deal with stress

LETS DO THIS!

It's easy to fall behind and go back to watching TV or doing some stupid shit that doesn't help you personally or financially. When I do those things, I feel good short term, but I suffer long term. Push forward and motivate yourself. It starts today. Not later, not when January rolls around. TODAY. NOW. LET'S GO!!
